FLORENCE, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's tennis teams was able to overcome a sweep in doubles play with a 5-1 mark in singles play for a 5-2 victory over Francis Marion Friday afternoon.
Lily Aranyos', 6-1, 6-2, victory over Camryn Cassetori in No. 6 singles proved to be the clinching point for Belmont Abbey with
Frankee Hendricks,
Elizabeth Vollmin,
Alexis Burkhalter and
Elliott Peterson earned wins in singles play as well.
The Crusaders moved to 11-5 overall, 2-0 in league play while the Patriots are 5-7, 0-3 in the league.
