DUE WEST, S.C. -- A total of 13 players scored at least one goal and the Belmont Abbey defense limited Erskine to just one off-target shot, leading the Crusaders to a 25-0 victory over the Flying Fleet in Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse action Wednesday night. The contest was the conference opener for both teams.
Belmont Abbey improves to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in league play, while Erskine falls to 1-1, 0-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivia Carlino, Angela Bagatta, Haley Adamo and Riley D'Andrea led the offensive attack with three goals each.
- D'Andrea registered four assists for seven points. Hailey Carroll also tallied seven points with a goal and six assists.
- The Crusaders scored 13 goals in the opening period.
- The shutout was the sixth in school history, but first since March 29, 2021 vs. Converse
- Three Belmont Abbey goalies did not require a save. They faced just one shot from Erskine.

- Belmont Abbey returns home Saturday to face Southern Wesleyan in another Conference Carolinas game.
