BELMONT, N.C. -- Senior
Daniel Cerqua tallied 11 digs to become the program's all-time leader and
Matteo Miselli posted 20 kills, but Queens earned a 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 23-25 ,25-21) victory over Belmont Abbey in men's collegiate volleyball action Thursday night.
Cerqua entered the match with 611 career digs, the same total that his former head coach, Nolan Albrecht, registered from 2013-16.
Belmont Abbey falls to 6-9, while the Royals improve to 5-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miselli hit .333 with 20 kills and six errors in 42 chances. He also tallied an ace and seven digs.
- Matthew Staskunas registered nine kills, while Ethan Rehmann added seven.
- Queens hit at a .323 clip, while Belmont Abbey connected at a .2111 pace.
- Matthew Maxwell dished out 44 assists and had two kills.
- Alex Winiarczyk had eight kills and seven digs.
