WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Thomas Thierfelder placed third in the 800 meter run and helped the 4x400 relay to another third-place finish, highlighting Belmont Abbey's second day at the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship. The Crusaders finished fourth overall, their highest standing ever at the indoor meet.

Kelly Hay also came in third in the pole vault, clearing 4.05 meters (13'-3.50"). The placements equate to third-team all-conference honors.
