BELMONT, N.C. – Connor Tucker helped the Belmont Abbey baseball team close out its series against Trevecca Nazarene in dramatic fashion by hitting a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to help the Crusaders finish off a 9-7 win over the Trojans Saturday at Abbey Yard.

The home run was Tucker's third hit of the afternoon to finish 3 for 6 and help The Abbey earn a three-game sweep over the Trojans.

Drew Stegura earned his first career win after pitching 2.2 scoreless innings and allowing just one hit during his appearance.

The Crusaders continued their unbeaten start to the season and are now 8-0 on the season. Trevecca Nazarene ends its opening series of the season at 0-3.
