BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Belmont Abbey women's bowling team averaged 176.8 per game Saturday to post a 4-1 record at the season-opening tournament, the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational hosted by Coppin State.

The Crusaders defeated Kutztown, Caldwell, Wagner and Virginia State en route to a 4-1 record on the day. The lone loss came to Fayetteville State.

Play concludes tomorrow with Baker games followed by bracket play.
