YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team extended its match-winning streak to four as the Crusaders defeated Young Harris 4-0 in the Conference Carolinas regular season finale Saturday afternoon.
The Abbey tallied two goals in each half and finished with its third shutout out of the last four matches to close the regular season.
The Crusaders improved to 10-2-4 overall and 8-1-3 in Conference Carolinas play. The Mountain Lions are 9-5-4 overall and 8-4-0 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Logan Parry took the first two shots of the match for the Crusaders with her second one finding the back of the net off an assist from Gabriela Enciso just over five minutes into the match.
- Haley Long added a second goal for the Crusaders in the 17th minute to double the advantage.
- Enciso scored in the 63rd minute off an assist from Sabrina Cunha.
- Kaitlyn Briones scored her second goal in as many matches off an assist from Alyssa Espinosa to cap off the scoring.
- The Crusaders had a 16-8 advantage in shots and 8-3 in shots on goal.
- Parry finished with six shots followed by Cunha with three.
- Brianna Sroka and Gianna Carneglia combined for the shutout. Sroka made two saves in goal while Carneglia made one.
- Belmont Abbey had six corner kicks compared to two for the Mountain Lions.

- Belmont Abbey will await its seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament as the full bracket is set to be released Saturday night.
- The Crusaders entered the day as the No. 2 seed in the KPI which would ensure a bye to the semifinals on Nov. 10 in Greensboro.
