BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team returned home to face Catawba Saturday night at Alumni Field. The Indians scored the lone goal in the first half and that proved to be the difference as the Crusaders fell by that 1-0 margin.

Belmont Abbey is now 1-3-0 on the season while Catawba is 2-1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Both teams were able to create chances in the first 45 minutes with Belmont Abbey taking five shots compared to seven for Catawba.
• The Crusaders also took three corner kicks for the match.
• The lone goal for the Indians came in the 19th minute.
• Zion Duncan had two shots to lead the Crusaders and was one of seven Belmont Abbey players to record a shot.
• Will Whitman finished with four saves for The Abbey.
