JACKSON, Tenn. -- Belmont Abbey wrapped up play at the Union Volleyball Classic Saturday with a pair of hard-fought matches. The Crusaders dropped their morning session with Arkansas at Monticello 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-22), then fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-8, 25-14) to Mississippi College.
THE OPENER
- Jenna McCullough led the offensive attack with five kills, hitting .300 overall. She also tallied a block assists.
- Four other players registered four kills -- Bailey Botello, Cameron Young, Mia Samaha and freshman Jada Foster.
- Ella Schellenberg was credited with 16 assists, a kill and a dig.
- Trinity Bradley had four of The Abbey's seven aces.  Zoe Schuberth had two and Samaha had the other.
- Samaha and Schuberth led the defensive effort with seven and six digs, respectively.
THE NIGHTCAP
- Foster registered career-bests for kills with eight kills and digs with four.
- Botello and Young had three kills each, while Young also served three aces.
- Botello tallied three kills and had a pair of blocks.
- Schellenberg dished out 15 assists, while Schuberth earned five digs.

- The Crusaders are back on the road next weekend for the Rollins Invitational in Winter Haven, Fla.
- Friday's schedule features matches against Barry and Florida Tech, while play wraps up Saturday against Mississippi College and host Rollins.
