Riley Mulkey and
Matteo Miselli led Belmont Abbey to one of its best performances of the season Tuesday night, resulting in a 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-20) victory over Conference Carolinas leader North Greenville.
The Abbey (13-8, 4-4) hit .432 as a team (42k-10e-74a), its second-highest mark of the season. North Greenville hit .247 (34-14-81) to fall to 13-5 overall and 7-2 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miselli tallied 13 kills against just one error in 20 attempts to hit. 600. He added two assists and three digs.
- Mulkey did not have an error in seven attempts, registering five kills, while Kyle Ferguson hit .700 on eight kills and an error in 10 tries.
- Andrew Kohut reached double figures in kills for the 11th time this year, totaling 11. He added three aces, six digs and an assist.
- Jack Walsh dished out 36 assists, while Daniel Cerqua and Gage Giller shared top defensive efforts with seven digs each.
