BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team got Conference Carolinas play off to a good start by defeating Lees-McRae 5-2 Saturday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
Zachary Blythe ended up earning a pair of victories for the Crusaders on the day, teaming up with
Nelson Stafford for a 6-3 in No. 1 doubles over Landon Church and Max Borisov. He followed that with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Church in No. 2 singles.
Andres Golindano also had a pair of victories for The Abbey. The first one came when he teamed up with
Renzo Fassioli for a 6-1 victory in No. 3 doubles over Ezequiel Arce and Arveet Singh. He followed that with a 6-0, 6-4 win in No. 5 singles.
