Belmont Abbey makes its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth in school history when its faces Augusta in the quarterfinals Saturday night.
The No. 8-seeded Crusaders (22-9) have won 17 of their last 20 games after holding a 5-6 record at the Christmas break. They won the Conference Carolinas Tournament as the No. 3 seed. Augusta (28-3) is the top seed after taking the Peach Belt Conference tournament title. The Jaguars have won 14 straight and are undefeated in 17 home games this season.
