WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey Rugby opened the Sevens season this weekend by winning the Bowl at round one of Southern Rugby Conference play.

The Crusaders defeated Appalachian State 22-0 in pool play, then defeated Western Carolina 2-95 and UNC Charlotte in tournament action.
