Sydney Pon and
Cameron Cooper hit grand slams in back-to-back innings, leading Belmont Abbey to a split of a non-conference softball doubleheader with Augusta Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders dropped the opener 4-3, before breaking out for a 13-1 five-inning victory in game two.
The game-one loss snapped an 11-game winning streak to start the season, but the victory snapped a string of eight straight losses to the Jaguars.

- After the Jaguars scored a run in the fourth, The Abbey plated five in the fifth to end the game early. Payton Whitley delivered a two-run single and Craver had a sac fly. The other two runs came on errors.
