Bosko Bojovic combined for 43 points and
Quest Aldridge added a season-high 26 points as Belmont Abbey posted a 110-91 victory over Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Thursday night. With the win, the Crusaders (19-9, 17-7) clinch the No. 3 seed in the league tournament next weekend.
Halloran tallied 25 points, the fifth time he has topped 20, on eight of nine shooting from the floor. He also made all seven attempts from the charity stripe. Bojovic posted his fifth career double-double (fourth this season) with 18 points and 10 boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In addition to his 26 points, Aldridge added seven rebound and seven assists. He hit 11 of 19 attempts from the field, four of six from beyond the arc.
- Chandler Baker added 14 points.
- Belmont Abbey shot 62.7 percent for the game, including 73.3 percent (22-30) in the first half. It was the second-best shooting half of the year.
- The Crusaders won the battle of the boards 38-29, including a dominant 28-12 after intermission.
- The Abbey led 88-80 with 6:12 remaining when it went on a 20-9 run over the next 5:08 to break the game open. The biggest lead of the contest was 19 points at 108-89 with 1:04 to play.
- Southern Wesleyan finishes the regular season at 18-9, 16-7. They are the No. 4 seed for the league tournament.
- Five seniors -- Halloran, Bojovic, LJ McCoy, Emanuel Hernandez and manager Rashad Hart -- were honored in a pregame ceremony.

- Belmont Abbey enters conference tournament play next Friday, March 4 in the quarterfinal round in Spartanburg.
- The Crusaders will face the survivor of first and second round play between No. 10 seed Chowan, No. 7 seed Lees-McRae and No. 6 Barton
- The game will take place at 1:30 p.m. with the winner facing No. 2 seed Emmanuel in the semifinals.
