GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team returned to action with four dual matches at the Carolina Clash Saturday hosted by Lander.
 
John Carayiannis led the way for the Crusaders earning two pins in his bouts with West Liberty's Jamie Ward and Jesiah Winters of Glenville State College.
 
Belmont Abbey went 1-3 on the day, competing in two bouts with two top 15 opponents in West Liberty and Glenville State. They followed with a victory over Kentucky Wesleyan and a 26-23 defeat to Simon Fraser.
