Wrestling Opens Season with 49-0 Win

BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey opened the 2022-23 wrestling season Wednesday afternoon with a 49-0 victory over St. Andrews. The match was the held outdoors on the Quad, reviving a tradition that stopped a few year ago. The Crusaders took advantage of three pins and two forfeits for the final margin.

  • Belmont Abbey hosts the first of three Crusader Throwdowns Saturday at noon. The invitational will allow non-starters and younger wrestlers in the region to gain valuable mat time.
