BELMONT, N.C. - Sander Herlofsen scored the game-winner, and the Belmont Abbey men's soccer team earned a 3-1 victory over Queens this evening.  The Crusaders now stand at 1-1, while Queens is 0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Belmont Abbey came out shooting early, and Miwoned Siraj found the back of the net in the 19th minute to get the scoring started for The Abbey
• About six minutes later, Herlofsen scored the game-winner for the Crusaders, off a pass from Adam Lindskog
• The Royals made it a 2-1 game in the 26th minute, but a Kensly Owens goal in the 29th put The Abbey in front by two again.  BAC led 3-1 at halftime
• The Crusaders took six corner kicks in the half, to Queens' one
• The second half was a defensive battle, and the Crusaders took the 3-1 win
• Ben Knust made seven saves in goal
