BELMONT, N.C. Casey Etter extended her goal streak to four straight games and Chloe Parker set the school shutout record as the Belmont Abbey field hockey team defeated Mount Olive 2-0 Wednesday at Alumni Field in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas play. The Crusaders moved to 6-2 overall, 4-1 in league play. The Trojans fell to 3-5, 3-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Etter tallied her first goal of the game with 11:14 remaining in the second quarter off of a penalty stroke. It was the fifth goal of the season for the freshman.

  • Belmont Abbey held an 10-8 advantage in shots over Mount Olive, including a season-high six from Etter.
  • Etter scored her second goal off the game with 1:49 left in the third quarter.
