DUE WEST, S.C. -- Three Belmont Abbey players tallied 13 kills each and the Crusaders hit a season-high .228, leading to a 3-1 (15-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23) victory over Erskine in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night.
With their first win of the season, The Abbey now stands 1-11 overall and 1-1 in league play. Erskine falls to 2-13, 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cameron Young, Lauren Hamilton and Caitlyn Faber all tallied 13 kills. Young hit .333 with just two errors in 31 attempts.
- Jenna McCullough added eight kills and a .375 percentage.
- The 55 kills and .228 hitting percentage were both season-highs.
- Faber added a team-high 22 digs for her fifth career double-double. Her totals for kills and digs were also career bests.
- Paige Rawlins also posted a double-double of 39 assists and 11 digs.
- Hailey Ryan added 14 digs.
