Box Score GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team opened its 2021 season at Limestone this evening. The Saints won the contest 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 17th minute, Kevin Daly took the first shot of the year for the Crusaders
- Limestone took the lead in the 13th minute, and held the 1-0 advantage at halftime. The defense was strong throughout the half, limiting the Saints to just three shots in the period
- The Saints scored in the 63rd and 65th minutes to take a 3-0 lead
- Ben Knust made four saves in goal
