AIKEN, S.C. - Goose Andrews scored a goal for the second game in a row, but the Belmont Abbey women's soccer team lost a 2-1 contest at USC Aiken this evening, dropping their record to 0-3.  The Pacers are now 1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Abbey came out shooting to start the match, taking five of the game's first six shots
• Andrews put the Crusaders on the board in the 32nd minute for a 1-0 BAC lead
• The Pacers scored two goals in a two-minute span early in the second, which proved to be enough for the win
• The Crusaders outshot the Pacers 18-10 in the contest
• Cassidy Calhoun led BAC with five shots.  Corrine Shovlain took four

Belmont Abbey will open conference play on Friday, September 17, when it hosts Barton.  The match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
