WILSON, N.C. –
Mason Dodd hit a walk-off homer run in the bottom of the 10
th inning to beat the No. 1 seeded Mount Olive Trojans in the Conference Carolinas tournament Saturday morning. The Abbey avoided elimination and handed Mount Olive their first loss in the double elimination tournament. The Crusaders are 21-19 on the year as Mount Olive moves to 33-9.

- The Abbey scored two runs in the first, capitalizing off a wild pitch and sacrifice fly.
- Mason Dodd had two home runs in the game. His first came in the sixth inning to tie the score at three. His second being the walk-off in the 10th.
- In to top half of the 10th inning, The Abbey defense threw out the go-ahead run at the plate as Dodd relayed Richard DeLaCruz's throw from fight field.
- Adam Overcash and Matty Bapst also collected hits in the game.
- Jason White threw 5.1 innings allowing just three runs with six strikeouts.
- Dylan Smith earned the win pitching 4.2 innings allowing just one hit with eight strikeouts.
