BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team split the Conference Carolinas series with No. 9 North Greenville this weekend at Abbey Yard. The Crusaders split both doubleheaders Friday and Saturday combining for 67 runs in the four games. Belmont Abbey improves to 20-13 on the year with a 18-9 CC record. North Greenville moves to 26-9 overall and 20-8 in league play.
Game One
Belmont Abbey 9, North Greenville 0
- Sam High pitched a complete game shutout striking out six batters. It is the first time NGU has been held scoreless since Feb 10, 2018.
- Ben Ferguson went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI.
- Sean Johnson collected two hits including a home run.
- Mason Dodd crushed a double in the game with three walks.
