Katie Williams posted a career-high 17 kills, while classmate
Sarah Wilson added 11, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 25-15) victory over Chowan in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
With the their fourth-straight win, the Crusaders improved to 4-1 overall, 2-0 in league play. Chowan falls to overall and in conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williams also tallied eight digs, three assists and a block assist.
- Paige Rawlins posted a double-double of 27 assists and 14 digs.
- Hailey Ryan led the defensive charge with 20 digs, while serving three aces.
- Cameron Young also topped double figures in digs with 10.
- Caitlyn Faber came off the bench late in the match and earned 14 assists.
- Belmont Abbey hit .140 as a team, while Chowan was limited to a .071 hitting percentage.
