BELMONT, N.C. -
Kylie Eastman finished with 12 points and the Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team earned a 26-0 shutout over Converse this evening. It was only the third shutout recorded in Division II this season. The Crusaders are now 9-1 on the season, with a 6-0 Conference Carolinas record. Converse dipped to 1-4 on the year, with a 1-3 conference mark.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Riley D'Andrea got the scoring started in the second. She scored again at the 8:51 mark, and Eva Stahlschmidt scored just 1:37 later. Emma Pherson found the back of the net as time expired to wrap up the 26-0 shutout
- On the day, Eastman was the Crusader leader with nine goals and three assists, for a total of 12 points. Her 12 points are tied with just three other players in Division II for the single game-high this year
- Perrone caused four turnovers in the game
- As a team, the Crusaders outshot the Valkyries 43-3. The shutout was only the third recorded in Division II this year
