DUE WEST, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team swept Saturday's doubleheader with Erskine to take the series. The Crusaders improve to 15-8 on the year and 14-6 in Conference Carolinas. Erskine moves to 12-10 on the year and 9-5 in league play.
Game One
Belmont Abbey 12, Erskine 3

• Adam Overcash, Danny Cruz, Ben Gobbel, and Kale Rhame all recorded two hits in the game.
• Rhame drove on four runs as Ben Ferguson logged three RBIs.
• Alex Sniffen picked up his third win of the year pitching six innings allowing three runs on six hits while striking out seven.
• Nic Aehlert pitched the final inning picking up a strikeout.

 
Game Two
Belmont Abbey 8, Erskine 3

• Sean Johnson went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI.
• Mason Dodd, and Kale Rhame also picked up two hits in the game.
• Dodd hit his third home run in the first inning.
• Matty Bapst blasted his third homer of the year in the second inning.
• Ben Ferguson drove in a pair of runs in the game.
• Griffin Baker earned his third win of the year pitching five innings allowing two runs on four hits while striking out five.
