BELMONT, N.C. - Corrine Shovlain scored in the first five minutes of tonight's exhibition, and the Crusaders never looked back form there.  The team earned a 3-0 victory over Shaw.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Shovlain scored a goal early, and it proved to be the match-winner
• In the 24th minute, Goose Andrews gave The Abbey an insurance goal, off a pass from Emily Doty
• Mackenzie Lewis scored the final goal of the contest in the last minute of the half, giving Belmont Abbey a commanding 3-0 halfitme lead
• The second half was a defensive showcase, as the Crusaders only gave up one shot the entire period

Belmont Abbey will open its regular season on Friday, February 12 against Limestone on Alumni Field.  The match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
