Eastman, D'Andrea Each Score Four in 18-11 Win

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - Kylie Eastman tallied nine points on the day to lead the Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team to an 18-11 victory at Young Harris this afternoon. The win puts The Abbey 1-1 on the year. YHC is now 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jenn Smith got the scoring started for the Crusaders with a man-up goal less than two minutes into the contest
  • The Mountain Lions took a 5-3 lead, but from there The Abbey scored seven straight goals, three of which came from Smith; and five of which Eastman earned the assist on
  • The Crusaders held an 11-7 halftime lead
  • Rey D-Andrea scored twice early on the second. Then the stubborn Abbey defense held Young Harris scoreless for over 10 minutes
  • Eastman wrapped up the scoring with a man-up goal in the closing seconds, and Belmont Abbey sealed the 18-11 victory
  • On the day, Eastman was The Abbey's leader, with four goals and five assists.  D'Andrea scored four goals and handed out an assist
  • On the defensive side, Christina Fabrizio caused three turnovers, and picked up four ground balls
  • Michelle Guppy made 13 saves in goal
