MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Chandler Baker and Prince Davies reached double figure, but that was not enough as Mount Olive defeated Belmont Abbey 80-64 in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Friday night.

The Crusaders fall to 10-4 overall and 8-3 in league play, while the Trojans improve to 5-7, 5-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Baker scored 14 points, while Davies added 11 as the only double-figure scorers.
• Belmont Abbey outshot the Trojans 55.0 percent to 52.9 percent in the contest. The Crusaders hit 61.9 percent after intermission.
• The Abbey also held a 26-16 rebounding advantage on the boards, led by Malik Tucker with four. Five other players had three each.
• Turnovers proved to be the difference with the Crusaders committing 18 and only forcing seven.
• The Trojans scored the first four points of the game and never trailed. The score was tied once at 21.
