BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team held their second home match of the season Wednesday vs Queens. The Abbey came away with the 21-18 victory. The Crusaders won six matches to move to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action. The royals move to 1-5 on the year and 0-2 in league competition.
John Carayiannis earned the major decision with a 16-7 victory.
Tyler Pepe wrestled to a hard fought 6-5 decision.
Tyler Gregor tied the match with his major decision. The crusader took the lead after
Mitch Dean's major decision.
Logan Branham tied the match at 18 with his decision. The Crusaders won the match with the final bout as
Justin Wright earned the 4-1 decision.
