BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team faced the Seton Hill Griffins Saturday morning in the Wheeler Center. The Crusaders were able to win three bouts before the Griffins took the 31-10 win.
Elijah Boyd and
Christos Avgeros both earned decisions in the match. Boyd captured the 2-0 decision as Avgeros won his match 4-3.
Mitch Dean earned the major decision over Colby Romjue. Seton Hill earned the win in their first match of the year. The Crusaders, coming off the 20-16 win over Newberry in their last match, move to 1-2 on the year.

The Crusaders will compete against conference opponent Queens Wednesday inside the Wheeler Center. The match will be the Crusaders second South Atlantic Conference Carolinas match this season, as they are currently 1-0 in league play. The Abbey will host the Royals beginning at 7 PM.
