SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey placed six players in double figures and shot 61.7 percent from the field in a 92-57 victory over Mars Hill in men's college basketball action Saturday evening. The contest was part of the South Atlantic Conference-Conference Carolinas Showdown.

The result evens the Crusaders' record at 1-1, while Mars Hill falls to 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bosko Bojovic led The Abbey with 16 points and eight rebounds, both season highs.
• Sean Halloran tallied 14 points and dished out nine assists, while Charles Solomon chipped in 13 points and seven boards.
• LJ McCoy hit three three-pointers en route to 11 points, while Mario Lacy, Jr., and Chandler Baker each added 10 points.
• The Crusaders converted 37 of 60 attempts overall in the contest, while connecting on seven of 13 threes.
• The Abbey held a 42-29 rebounding advantage.
• Belmont Abbey broke open the contest by outscoring the Mountain Lions 20-2 over the final 4:29 of the first half.
