Box Score 2 BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey women's volleyball celebrated four seniors Saturday afternoon, splitting a pair of matches at the Wheeler Center. The Crusaders defeated Chowan 3-2 (25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 23-25, 16-14) in a Conference Carolinas matchup early in the day before falling to Carolina 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14, 17-15) in the nightcap.
With the league win, The Abbey (7-17, 7-6) locked up a Conference Carolinas Tournament berth early next month. Chowan falls to 4-18 overall and 1-11 in league play. Carolina improves to 8-7 on the season.

MATCH ONE
- Cameron Young tallied 23 kills -- eighth-most in school history, while Kate Youmans and Lauren Hamilton each added 13. The total for Youmans is a career high.
- Paige Rawlins dished out a career-high 50 assists. She added 18 digs for a double-double, while chipping in five kills.
- Hailey Ryan tallied 32 digs. As a team, the Crusaders totalled 101.
- Before the contest, Rawlins, Hamilton, Ryan and fellow senior Bailey Rose were honored.
MATCH TWO
- Belmont Abbey took the first two sets by identical 25-23 scores before the Bruins rallied to take the next three.
- Caitlyn Faber tallied 10 kills, 11 assists and 31 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Both numbers led the team.
- Cameron Young added nine kills with Lauren Hamilton chipping in eight.
- Setting duties were shared by several players with Paige Rawlins posting a team-best 14 assists. Ella Schellenberg added a career-best 11.
- Hailey Ryan added 18 digs.
