Jenna McCullough tallied a career-high 14 kills and
Paige Rawlins had a double-double of 34 assists and 16 digs, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (28-26, 26-24, 25-20) victory over Lees-McRae Wednesday night in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at the Wheeler Center. With her 106th win at The Abbey, Head Coach
Toni Elyea becomes the school's all-time wins leader, passing Mary DeJute (104 from 2010-14).
The Crusaders improve to 4-16 overall and 4-6 in league play, while the Bobcats fall to 6-10, 4-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- McCullough hit .435 overall with 14 kills and just four errors in 23 chances.
- Cameron Young and Caitlyn Faber added eight kills each, while Bailey Rose registered seven.
- Faber added 20 digs and two aces.
- For Rawlins, the double-double was her seventh of the year and included a season-high 16 digs.
- Hailey Ryan tallied 18 digs.
- Belmont Abbey totaled 79 digs as a team, the most-ever in a three-set match.
- The match opened a seven-game homestand.
