1/19/2021 8:46:00 PM

Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. -- Sean Halloran tallied a career-high 29 points and Quest Aldridge added a season-best 15, leading Belmont Abbey to an 80-69 victory over Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Tuesday night at Tysinger Gymnasium. The Crusaders scored the first 15 points of the contest and never trailed.

The contest was a rematch of the league's championship game, won by the Warriors. Both teams entered the game ranked in the weekly D2SIDA Southeast Regional rankings -- Belmont Abbey third and Southern Wesleyan tied for sixth. The Crusaders received votes in both the D2SIDA (26th) and NABC (30th) national polls.

Belmont Abbey improves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in league play, while the contest was the Warriors' season opener.
