Box Score BELMONT, N.C. - Brittany Autry and three other Crusaders scored in double figures in tonight's 75-70 home win over King. It was the team's Think Pink game. With the victory, Belmont Abbey stands at 17-2 on the season, with a 12-1 conference record. The Tornado are now 10-9 overall, and 7-6 in Conference Carolinas play.
How it Happened
- Allie Downing scored each of the first six Crusader points of the contest. Maria Kuhlman scored nine more, as The Abbey led 23-17 when the first quarter expired
- In the second, the Abbey defense held King to just one 3-point field goal, though King led 37-32 at halftime
- Near the end of the third, a 6-0 Crusader run tied the game at 48. King was also held to just one 3-pointer in the quarter, and they led 50-48 heading into the last quarter
- BAC went on a 7-0 run to start the fourth, capped by a layup by Kuhlman
- After that, a 9-0 Abbey run put the Crusaders on top 64-52. Autry scored the last BAC field goal of the contest, helping the Crusaders wrap up the 75-70 win
- Autry finished with 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds
- Kuhlman added 16 points, while Keyanna Spivey chipped in 13 points and five boards
- Belmont Abbey made 11 3-pointers in the game
