The victory puts The Abbey at 15-2 on the year, including a 10-1 Conference Carolinas mark. The Flying Fleet dipped to 4-12 overall, with a 4-7 conference record.
How it Happened
- Kuhlman only needed 22 seconds into the game to get points on the board for the Crusaders, who opened the game with a 10-0 run
- Later in the quarter, Brittany Autry scored six straight Abbey points
- When the first period expired, BAC held a commanding 31-9 lead
- Kuhlman scored eight points in the second, including six in a 20-second span, to help Belmont Abbey to a 49-21 lead at halftime. Manuela Fungate had four rebounds in the half
- By the middle of the third, the Crusaders had a 30-point lead. Kuhlman went 3-for-4 from three-point range in the quarter as The Abbey held a 67-40 lead heading into the final period
- In the fourth, the Crusader defense was the story, as it held Erskine to just one field goal over the first four minutes. The Abbey held the Flying Fleet to 6-for-14 in the quarter to wrap up the 79-60 win. Fungate grabbed three more rebounds in the quarter, bringing her total on the day to nine, the game-high
- Kuhlman went 11-for-16 from the field, including 9-for-13 from three-point range to finish with a season-high 31. She also pulled down seven rebounds
- Autry finished with 11 points and five boards, while Allie Downing and Taylor Stelley each handed out five assists
