PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team lost a 2-0 contest at UNC Pembroke this evening, dropping their record to 1-1 this season.  It was the Braves' season opener.

How it Happened

• Sydney Pluhacek took the first shot of the day for The Abbey 35 minutes into the contest.  UNC Pembroke led 2-0 at halftime
• The Crusaders were better in the second half, limiting the Braves to just seven shots.  UNC Pembroke, however, took the 2-0 win
• Lauryn Harding made seven saves in goal

Belmont Abbey will host Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, September 13 at 4 p.m.  It will be the Military Appreciation Game, as the team will recognize the Armed Forces.
