Crusaders Take on Emmanuel

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team competed in their second Conference Carolinas match Wednesday at Emmanuel. The Lions were able to score less than a minute into the contest and hold off the Crusaders for the 1-0 win. Belmont Abbey moves to 1-3 on the season with a 1-1 league record. Emmanuel improves to 2-3 with a 2-0 conference record.

  • Emmanuel's Danny McKerchar Cameron scored 47 seconds into the game.
  • The Crusaders outshot the Lions 12-10 throughout the match.
  • Five different Crusaders managed to put a shot on frame.
  • Belmont Abbey keeper Ben Knust recorded three saves.
  • Emmanuel keeper Andy Dunnett made five saves.

 

The Crusaders next match will be their first home game of the year as they host Mount Olive Wednesday, September, 19 at 1:30 PM.
