CENTRAL, S.C. - Sophomore Carlos Nolasco earned a 6-1, 7-5 victory, and the Crusaders rolled to a 7-2 win at Southern Wesleyan this afternoon. Nolasco now holds a 6-0 record against Conference Carolinas opponents. As a team, Belmont Abbey stands at 13-17 this season, with a 6-1 conference mark. The Warriors are now 6-9 overall, and 2-3 against Conference Carolinas teams.
The Crusaders took #2 and #3 doubles, both by scores of 8-6. Zachary Blythe and Henrique Leal now hold a 7-0 record together in conference play.
George Barfoot got the first Crusader victory in singles play, with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at #2. Carlos Nolasco earned a 6-1, 7-5 win at #5 singles, moving his conference record to 6-1 this year.
Belmont Abbey will travel to North Greenville University tomorrow.
