Box Score BELMONT, N.C. - Camrynn Aiello broke a scoreless tie late in the first half, but Converse rallied with a pair of goals in the second, lifting the Valkyries to a 2-1 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey League victory Tuesday night. The Crusaders fall to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in league play, while Converse improves to 1-7, 1-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aiello opened the scoring with just 3:15 remaining in the first half. It was her second career goal and came off an assist from Sophia Fuege.
- Converse tied the game 1:39 into the second half, then scored the game-winner a little over 10 minutes later.
- Paige Hinds made one save in goal. Converse held an 8-5 advantage in shots.
- Each team took four corners.
