Men's Soccer Competes in Conference Match

BRISTOL, TENN. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team competed well against the King Tornado Wednesday. The Crusaders record is now 2-4-2 and 1-2 in Conference Carolinas play.

In the scoreless first half Wes Holifield recorded two saves as King sent nine shots against the Crusaders.

King scored the lone goal of the match in the 63rd minute when Eli Carrasco found the back on the net on a lead pass.

 The Crusaders offense challenged King with three shots in the second half lead by Geinner Duque who had two.

The Abbey's next game is Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Alumni Field against Southern Wesleyan. The game will be a part of the homecoming festivities.
