Men's Tennis Edges Past Brevard, 5-4

HILTON HEAD ISLAND ,SC – Belmont Abbey claimed victories in all three doubles matches, as the Crusaders defeated Brevard, 5-4, Friday evening in Hilton Head. The Crusaders are now 4-8 overall, while Brevard drops to 1-9.

In doubles, the Crusaders got victories from the team of Juan Baez and James Delaney, who defeated David Taggart and Tom Mittring, 8-3. Laine Harrett and Michael Rapsik also earned an 8-3 win over the Brevard duo of Chris Plasa and Tim Hengst.

Chip Moore/Ero Okhiria, Mike Nguyen, and Derrick Kwok all took three victories by forfeit.

Belmont Abbey returns to action Saturday morning in a doubleheader against Michigan Tech and Tiffin.
