BELMONT, NC- Augusta claimed all six victories in singles matches, as the Jaguars defeated Belmont Abbey, 7-2, Thursday afternoon at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center in Belmont. The Crusaders are now 1-3 overall, while Augusta improves to 6-2 overall.

Juan Baez fought a strong first set in the number one position against Patrick Oliveria with a 6-7 score. Oliveria would make a comeback against Baez (7-6) to bring up the third and final set. Baez and Oliveria battled back and forth before Oliveria finally bested Baez 10-5.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, February 20 for a doubleheader. Belmont Abbey faces Lenoir-Rhyne at 9am, then UVA-Wise at 2:00 pm.
