Belmont Abbey senior Conner McMann teamed with Juan Baez to post a top flight doubles win and added straight sets victory at the top singles position as the Crusaders men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to Catawba this afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
McMann and Baez dismissed Pierce Hoover and Jack Mordrey 8-6 at the top flight for the first Crusader point of the match.
In singles, McMann defeated Hoover 7-6, 6-3 to post the victory.
Baez went the distance in his match at the second position. Baez lost to Mordrey 6-2, 7-5, 10-6.
The Crusaders are back in action tomorrow with a road match at King.
