Belmont Abbey junior Conner McMann won both his singles and doubles matches and Juan Baez gave the Crusaders a victory at number two singles in the Abbey's 6-3 home loss to Catawba this afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
In the doubles matches, McMann and Eduardo Escobar gave the Crusaders a doubles point with an 8-6 victory over Pierce Hoover and Michael Patch.
In singles, McMann dismissed Hoover in straight sets, earning a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the number one position.
Baez earned his first career victory with a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Matthew Nicholson at number two.
The Crusaders are back in action Thursday when they go on the road to face UNC Charlotte.
