Belmont Abbey junior Conner McMann gave the Crusaders their only point as the men's tennis team suffered a 7-1 loss at Queens this afternoon.
One match, number six singles, did not finish due to daylight.
McMann won a tight three set battle, as he dropped the first set 6-2 but rallied to win the second set 6-4 to set up a ten point tiebreaker to determine the winner. He won that easily, 10-6.
The number three singles match also went three sets, as Eduardo Escobar claimed a 7-6 win in the opening set before falling 6-2 in the second. He lost the tiebreaker by a 10-1 score.
Belmont Abbey is back in action Tuesday when hosting Catawba.
