Belmont Abbey sophomore midfielder Clay Dimick extended his goal scoring streak to four matches as he netted the only goal of the match in the 62nd minute to lift the Crusaders men's soccer team to a 1-0 away victory at Newberry. Belmont Abbey improves to 4-7-4 while the Wolves drop to 6-9-2.

The sophomore from Marietta, Georgia has now scored five goals in the past four matches and has scored six of the Abbey's seven goals in that span. His season total is now a team-leading six.

The Wolves outshot the Abbey 16-13 but only Dimick found the net as he beat Nick Lucido at the 61:33 mark.

From there, the Abbey defense held on as Luke Whelan stopped six shots as the Crusaders posted their first shutout since a 1-0 win at Emmanuel on September 27.

Belmont Abbey is back in action Friday at 3:00 as it hosts Pfeiffer in the regular season finale on Senior Day.
