Belmont Abbey sophomore Tim Tanko gutted out a tough three set win at number six singles with daylight fading to give the Crusaders men's tennis team their only point in an 8-1 loss to North Georgia this afternoon at Sacred Heart Courts.

Tanko, playing the final match of the day, dropped the first set 7-5, but rallied to win the next set by the same score. He then won the ten point tiebreaker by a 10-5 mark to seal the Crusaders only win of the day.

Belmont Abbey' only other chance to win came at number one singles as Conner McMann forced a third set ten point tiebreaker, but fell 12-10.
